A lucky EuroMillions winner who has scooped a massive £83million jackpot has a time limit to claim their winnings before the prize is awarded elsewhere, lotto organisers have said. Lottery operator Allwyn is waiting for the winner to come forward and claim £83,474,081.80 following the EuroMillions draw last Friday, when the winning numbers were 2, 11, 19, 30 and 49 and the two Lucky Stars numbers were 3 and 8. The win clinched by the unsuspecting Brit the largest of the year so far, and lottery bosses are "waiting with baited breath" for the claimant to come forward.

Allwyn's Andy Carter urged the winner to make themselves known. He said: "What a way to start the year. I can't believe there's one lucky ticket-holder out there who hasn't claimed this incredible EuroMillions jackpot prize – there are 83,474,081 reasons for them to check their ticket straight away!. "It's only been six days since the EuroMillions draw but, we're waiting with bated breath to pay out this latest huge winner. We're urging all EuroMillions players to check their paper tickets to see if they are our missing multi-millionaire." While massive, the £83m total is not the biggest ever claimed, with a record £195m sum paid out in 2022.

Mr Carter hailed the first UK jackpot winner of 2025, following a successful 2024 for Brit players, four of whom became millionaires. He said: "This is our first EuroMillions UK jackpot winner of 2025, following on from an incredible 2024 which saw four UK EuroMillions jackpots won, including a £177M win by an anonymous single ticket-holder in November, which was the third largest-ever UK win.". The National Lottery has asked anyone who thinks they have bought a winning ticket to get in touch with the organisation by calling 0333 234 5050 or emailing help@national-lottery.co.uk. But they must do so before a strict deadline, as otherwise they will lose their claim to the cash.

The organisation gives lottery entrants 180 days - six months - to claim a prize they have won. If winners wait too long, the winning prizes will be "automatically removed". There are currently dozens of unclaimed prizes waiting to be received, according to the National Lottery site, which lists well over £5 million worth of money up for grabs. Two £1 million prizes will expire within one day of one another soon, the site shows, with back-to-back Millionaire Makers becoming unavailable in March. One winner from the London Borough of Lambeth has until just February 3 to claim their winnings, with another potential millionaire from Bury losing out on the following day, February 4.
