A cheeky puff on your vape could end up costing you an absolute fortune. Originally designed to help smokers ditch cigarettes, vaping has become a craze in its own right - managing to lure in Brits who had never previously even thought about touching tobacco.

While the government has confirmed it will ban the sale of single-use vapes from June 1 this year, many Brits will continue inhaling fruity nicotine salts using re-usable devices. The convenience of vaping has also resulted in a slew of addicted users sucking on the device everywhere, even in places where they wouldn't dare of lighting up a cigarette. If you've ever smelt a random waft of watermelon while you're in the cinema, you can probably blame it on a sneaky vaper.

Dave Phillips from Vape Superstore has urged Brits to 'act responsibly' and avoid using their e-cigarettes in a slew of public places - even if you think it's not illegal to do so. It comes after Northern Trains revealed that 77 passengers had raised concerns about vaping in post-journey surveys since April 2024 and 29 had submitted written complaints. Another 59 made complaints to Northern on social media.

In a statement sent to the Mirror, Dave said: "Vaping is strictly prohibited across the UK's public transport network, including trains, trams, buses, and stations. Operators like Network Rail, Great Western Railway, Stagecoach, Arriva, and TfL enforce consistent bans to prioritise passenger comfort and safety. While bus passengers may not face fines, they could be asked to stop, disembark, or face bans for repeated violations, with penalties on other services reaching up to £200.".
