When showed a clip of Katie's ex, Dwight Yorke, criticising Peter, who had said he wanted to adopted the former footballer's son Harvey, the singer was asked by Kay how he would feel if Katie's then husband, Alex Reid, wanted to adopt Princess and Junior.
Sky News informed Ofcom that Kay consulted Peter prior to the interview and told him that he would be asked questions about Katie's wedding to Alex and related issues.
However, Peter then broke his silence, criticising Kay for her interview, saying "I can't believe anyone would intentionally try to hurt me like that".
The watchdog acknowledged Kay's interview style was "probing and persistent" but said "she remained overall measured in tone throughout and did not put inappropriate pressure on Peter for a response.".
