Advised on the plot by knife crime charity, the Ben Kinsella Trust, the cast and writers were told there were 225 murders involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales in the 12 months to June 2024.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Luca says of Mason’s murder: ”It’s important that he did die and didn’t recover after a stabbing, because knife crime in the UK is not improving.
