Arsenal have kept the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux. Riccardo Calafiori came off the bench to score the only goal but the game will be remembered for the astonishing red card shown to Gunners youngster Myles Lewis Skelly.

The teenager was shown a straight red card towards the end of the first-half with the Premier League Match Centre labelling the offence ‘serious foul play.’. Lewis-Skelly halted a Wolves counter attack by cynically tripping Matt Doherty on the edge of his own penalty area.

While the Wolves player was still a good 90 yards away from goal, Michael Oliver did not hesitate to show the red card with VAR agreeing with his on field decision. Wolves were also reduced to 10 men in the second-half with Joao Gomes given his marching orders after a second yellow card.

Calafiori produced the winner four minutes later, brilliantly latching onto a poor Wolves clearance to find the far corner. Arsenal claim all three points! They keep the pressure on Liverpool after a mad afternoon at Molineux. Wolves lose the ball again – this has been a pretty meek final charge from the hosts.

Timber eases the pressure as he wins a free kick on the edge of his own box. Arsenal are close to a vital win. Five minutes of time added on. A whole load of changes for Wolves in their final roll of the dice, Gonçalo Guedes comes on for Doherty, Rodrigo Gomes for Ait-Nouri and Tommy Doyle for Andre.
