THE heartbroken mum of a 26-year-old woman who was cut into pieces and dumped in a shopping bag by her husband said she "knew he would kill her". Nicholas Metson, 28, stabbed Holly Bramley, 26, to death at their flat in Lincoln then hacked her up into over 200 parts in the bathtub.
The killer paid school pal, Joshua Hancock, £50 to help dispose of her remains in the River Witham ten miles from the home. Holly's body was found in a number of shopping bags on March 25 2023. Police recovered 224 separate body parts but bits of her heart, lungs and fingers were missing.
Metson was jailed for life with a minimum of 19 years after pleading guilty to murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice last year. Now, Holly's devastated mother Annette Bramley has spoken out after horrific ordeal. The 65-year-old mum was never invited to Holly's wedding and said she didn't even know it was happening.
In her first interview following Metson's conviction last year, Annette told the Mail: "I knew he would kill her. "I told police he would murder her; I told anyone who would listen. Her family could all see it, but nobody could stop it.". Holly and Nick first met at Boston College in Lincolnshire in 2016 and married in 2021.
From the start, Metson never made any effort to meet or speak to Holly’s family. Annette Googled his name and discovered he had been convicted for sharing explicit photos of a previous partner. She added: "Holly very rarely came home, but one day she turned up at our door devastated, sobbing and saying he had killed their puppy.
