Woman makes 'creepy' discovery after looking under floorboards of 250-year old house

A woman was left utterly gobsmacked after she stumbled upon a spine-tingling find beneath the floorboards of her 250-year old home. As TikTok user, Haunted Amelia, uploaded a video detailing her eerie discovery, she pointed out: "I noticed that there was nothing holding this floorboard down so when you walk on it, it rattles a lot.".
Her curiosity led her to pry up the board to see if she could fix it, but instead, she found herself peering at an unexpected object hidden in the debris. Amongst the first items she unearthed was an Edward VII 1904 penny, and then she uncovered what seemed to be a gold-coloured book tucked under additional planks.
"It's filthy," she exclaimed as she extracted it. Puzzled, she pondered: "How long do you reckon it has been there? It's definitely a book, but they're not actual pages - they're really thick." Leaving her audience hanging, Amelia promised to clean the item before attempting to open it.
She penned in the clip's caption: "I found other things like old nails and old paper. I’m tempted to look and see if I can find anything else! I’m left with a lot of questions like why was this hidden there in the first place? For those who are worried, I DID wear a mask when I did this. But the dust was getting in my eyes which wasn’t fun.".
Amelia's TikTok video quickly went viral, racking up a staggering 8.3 million views in five days from users eager to see the contents of a mysterious book. By this point, she had returned to her platform with an update, admitting: "I have been feeling uneasy ever since I found it. Should I see if anything else is hidden?".
