Thanks to TikTok, many of us now see cleaning our homes as rather therapeutic, even looking forward to the chance to make surfaces gleam and grout shine. However, one pesky item that often proves tricky to clean is the shower seal in our bathrooms – it gets dirty so fast. But fear not, one TikToker has shared a nifty trick. Content creator @cleanwith_kayleigh revealed a hack that she confesses isn't 'perfect,' but certainly does the trick.
She then suggests: 'sometimes you just need to get the bleach out', which is her product of choice for tackling this task. The clip kicks off showing Kayleigh getting ready to spruce up the shower seal. Next, we see her deftly removing it from beneath the glass pane.
She fills her tub with water and adds a healthy dose of bleach to get a thorough cleanse going, getting rid of all the grime accumulated on the seal over time. Into the sudsy mix goes the shower seal, and Kayleigh rinses it using the shower when she's done.
Remarkably, once she lifts the seal up for the camera, it's virtually unrecognisable – it's sparkly clean after the bleach treatment. Reattaching it, the seal looks brand spanking new. The hack was a hit, leaving some followers astounded by how effective plain bleach can be. One commented: "I do this! But I use a toothbrush to get right in there.".
