Fancy shaking up your spud game?. These garlic and parmesan-crusted potatoes are the new dinner party showstopper. Renowned for being an irresistible Sunday roast favourite, their crunchy golden exterior and fluffy centre set them apart. Guests will be queuing up to get hold of the recipe as they walk out the door, leaving you to decide whether to let them in on the culinary secret or keep them guessing.
Whether it's for a lavish feast or simply your evening meal, these spectacular potatoes won't disappoint. Shared by food influencer and author Nicole Keshishian Modic, known as @Kalejunkie on Instagram, this potato transformation is a must-try dish. She enthusiastically advises followers that "if there is one thing you make this holiday season, let it be" these scrumptious spuds.
Boasting simplicity and deliciousness, Nicole raves about the dish: "This side dish is super simple to whip together and are pretty much the only way I want to eat potatoes-crispy, crunchy, soft in the middle, and covered in the parmesan cheese.". Before you start, crank your oven up to 220 degrees Celsius. Wash and halve your small potatoes, then score each half with a diamond pattern before tossing them into a large bowl.
Firstly, mix the potatoes with garlic powder, olive oil, parsley, salt, and pepper, then set this aside. Next, grate your parmesan into a regular dinner bowl and combine it with your freshly melted butter to create a thick paste. Smear the bottom of your baking dish with this buttery, parmesan concoction, before adding a layer of potatoes - ensure the diamond-scored side is facing down and press it into the cheesy mixture beneath in an even layer. Repeat this process until all your potatoes are in the dish, then bake them for approximately 25 minutes.
