In her viral video, TikTok user Iman (@lovefromiman) talked her followers through the simple step. "I’ve discovered a Hinge hack that basically cheats the algorithm and gives you the best pick of the bunch, which on Hinge is still questionable but it’s a level up from normal Hinge," she said.

Iman explained that you can level up your options by going to the settings on your Hinge app. After scrolling to the bottom you can select to pause or delete your account. According to the TikToker, a pop up will appear asking: "Why are you leaving Hinge?".

She explained that you will be given four options, one of which says: "I am not happy with my Hinge experience.". Once you have selected this, the app will give you a final option to keep your account. Hinge will ask you: "How about a fresh start?". According to the dating app, this selection will "refresh your discover feed whilst keeping all your matches.".

You will be then prompted to try this option, which Iman advises doing. She recommended giving your app "a couple of minutes" to reset before clicking back in to it. "It just basically completely changes the algorithm and the type of people you’ll get shown are completely different," she explained.
