Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds could move Colombian team Equidad FC to a completely new location following reports that he is set to be part of an £11.8m takeover of the club. Reynolds has formed part of the Tylis-Porter investment group which also features the likes of baseball star Justin Verlander and former Arsenal and Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil. Reynolds is also set to invest in Equidad alongside Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria.

The Hollywood icon, alongside fellow Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney, has a sterling reputation since embarking on club ownership, thanks to the Red Dragon's astonishing success. However this could now be put to the test with whispers that he is set to uproot the Bogota-based team.

Not only is the Deadpool star's consortium reportedly looking to remove the team from the capital city of Colombia, there has also been talk that they could spearhead a new name change for the club. Gaining fans within the city of 7.9million people has proven somewhat difficult for Equidad, especially with two other football teams, Club Deportivo Los Millonarios and Independiente Santa Fe, also calling the city their home, and so a new name and location is seen as imperative.

Speaking on the programme 'Sin Boleta', Colombian reporter Felipe Sierra said: "Not only is the name change being evaluated, but also the change of city. It is one of the alternatives, although the name is almost a fact. Next week the document has to be signed to make the transfer official.".
