THE Xbox Developer Direct is one of the best yet, with deep dives into five games coming to Xbox later this year. If you missed out on the hour-long showcase, it featured three games from Xbox Studios, and two from third-party developers. We’ve broken down everything revealed during the showcase so you can catch up on the go.

All of the games will be available via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on the day they are released. Here’s everything that was shown during the Xbox Developer Direct. Ninja Gaiden is finally back over a decade since the last entry in the series released in 2012.

Made in a partnership between Team Ninja and Platinum Games, it has the fast-paced gameplay style of the original series. It has the stylish attacks of Platinum’s Bayonetta, with all of the gore that the series is known for. Ninja Gaiden 4 will launch late this year, and will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC.

A remake of the second installment in the Ninja Gaiden series, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black has been built from the ground up. It still maintains some of the mixing of 2D and 3D gameplay from the original but has a much slicker and more modern look. What was most surprising about the remake is that it dropped immediately following the show.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is out now for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A deep dive for the long-awaited South of Midnight gave us a good look at exactly what the gameplay will look like. Our protagonist is a weaver, who uses her magical powers to take on magical creatures from southern folklore in battle.
