Kai Havertz has suffered a suspected hamstring injury during Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai. Mikel Arteta’s side have taken advantage of their free weekend to go on a warm-weather break to the Middle East ahead of their Premier League match against Leicester City on February 15. However, MailOnline reports that Arsenal have been dealt a huge injury blow as Havertz picked up a hamstring problem during a session this week.

The extent of Havertz’s injury is not yet known, although a hamstring injury could keep the Germany international sidelined for multiple games. Arteta is already without Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, who is also facing a month out due to a hamstring injury he suffered in the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup last week. Havertz’s absence would leave Arsenal without a recognised forward, while Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling are the only two attacking players who remain available.
Saka has joined Arsenal’s squad for their trip to Dubai, although he is not expected to return before the start of March. Arsenal currently sit second in the Premier League and six points behind Liverpool, although Arne Slot’s side will extend that advantage to nine points if they beat Everton on Wednesday night.
