Following his death in 2018, DJ and producer Avicii has left a lasting legacy in his fans' hearts all around the world, after being credited as someone who brought electronic music into the charts. Six years after he took his own life while on holiday in Muscat, Oman, a new documentary which aims to show people the man behind the persona, has dropped on Netflix today (Tuesday 31st December).

Avicii: I'm Tim showcases the incredible journey of the star, from his early success with song Levels to selling out arenas and everything in between. The one-off documentary has the DJ open up about his feelings, with him revealing that he suffered with his mental health, namely anxiety.

He explains: "I just felt anxious, I didn't know where the anxiety came from. I could feel it physically in my gut. It was like a stone in my gut, that's how it felt and it was constant, a constant emotion.". He ended up seeking help from psychiatrists and doctors, going on diets and exercising, but nothing would work to make him feel better.

The music star went on to reveal what his dream was at the time, which sadly was unable to be fulfilled because he chose to end his life. Avicii continues: "My dream would be to be completely at ease and completely happy with what I've got already and not really have any aspirations to do a billion other things.
