Pub chain Wetherspoon is set to open four new venues at holiday destinations across the Uk as part onf a major investment. Wetherspoon is working in partnership with Haven holiday parks. after an exclusive agreement last year saw the first on-site Wetherspoon pub open at Haven's Primrose Valley in Yorkshire.
This Spring will see four new Wetherspoon pubs open their doors at Haven's holiday parks at Devon Cliffs, Kent Coast in Kent, Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, and Haggerston Castle in Northumberland. Haven has spent £1.9 million on the new The Red Rocks pub in Exmouth, the first of the new sites to open, contributing to an overall investment of £6.7 million in the expansion of the Wetherspoon partnership. This forms part of a larger £8.3 million investment in improving the holiday park operator's food and beverage offerings for 2025 across all parks, which includes two new Burger Kings at Hopton Holiday Park and Lakeland Holiday Park.
And it follows a £100 million investment in Haven's parks across 2024, including additional pitches and a new fleet. Over the past 18 months, other significant investments include a new Chopstix food and beverage outlet, and 27 new caravan pitches, with a further six to open in March, catering to the increased demand for staycations.
Haven's holiday park footprint has expanded big time with 60 new venues over the last five years. The pub giant is bringing its pints to Haven, boosting their brand partnerships to six, including Burger King, Papa Johns, Millie's Cookies, Slim Chickens, and Chopstix, reports Devon Live.
