Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt was cheekily told to back off one of his chefs during the live show. As the show kicked off, cook Dina Macki showed her injured hand, while Matt informed viewers he would lend her a hand with her dish later. Before it was Dina's turn to cook, another chef whipped up a creation. Passing the finished dish to Dina, Kerry Godliman and Helen McGinn for a taste test, Matt noticed Dina wasn't struggling to eat.

Inquiring how she found the dish, she enthused: "The beef is incredible. I've never had beef like it!" Matt probed further, "Just so I'm clear, you can eat with your hand and use your hand, but you can't chop with it?". Defending Dina, Kerry jumped in, saying: "That's a completely different thing! Leave her alone!" prompting laughter from Matt as Dina detailed what she'd be preparing later on the programme.

Dina explained her bandaged hand at the show's start, with Matt alerting viewers that he'd be tackling most of Dina's cooking duties, reports the Express. Questioning about her injury, Matt asked: "The hand, you had an incident with a dog?" To which she held up her bandaged hand and replied: "Yeah little dog bite, big dog bite! It's ok, we're getting there.".

When Dina's cooking segment arrived, she sported a blue glove over her bandage and informed the BBC host that he'd handle all the chopping. During the cook-along, Matt queried how long he'd play sous-chef. Responding lightheartedly she said: "It'll be gone by the next show. That's if you want me back!".
