Denise Fox may have chosen Jack Branning in tonight's live episode of EastEnders, however her love triangle is far from over - according to soap star Aaron Thiara. The BBC star, who plays Ravi Gulati on the soap, said in an Instagram post: "You may think it’s the end. But we have only just begun…" Aaron then added, "Love you," before mentioning co-stars Diane Parish and Scott Maslen, who play Denise and Jack on the soap.
Fans watched as Denise made her choice between husband Jack and lover Ravi in tonight's live episode, with the long-time character ultimately decided to reconcile with Jack in a tender moment. Denise stopped by Jack's house while the Queen Vic was set ablaze to declare her love for him. "I feel safe with you Jack. I want to feel safe," she said.
Jack replied: "What about Ravi? What about when you want a bit of danger?" However, Denise reassured him that her and Ravi would never go anywhere. "I see a future with you Jack and our history - that runs deep. My feelings haven't changed, I still love you.".
Denise and Jack then embraced on the sofa, with the Walford icon having made her choice. However, not all is as it seems if fans are to read into Aaron's recent post. EastEnders fans were given the chance to vote on who Denise would end up with in a poll that closed shortly before the live special began. There was also a second poll to decide on the name of Sonia's baby, with the public choosing to call her Julia.
However, some viewers weren't particularly happy with Denise choosing Jack, with some saying that she picked the "boring" option. "What boring b*****ds voted for jack ugh what a YAWN FEST #EastEnders #EastEnders40 #EELive," one fan wrote. Another said: "Denise is p*****g me off. this was the wrong choice #EastEnders40.".
Tonight's episode also proved to be tragic for certain families on the Square as Martin Fowler died after being crushed under a concrete beam. In devastating scenes, Martin went into cardiac arrest as soon as the beam was lifted off of him, having proposed to Stacey shortly before.
