A CATFISH has left people stunned after showcasing her incredible makeover, with the after "screaming British make-up". Cariad is no stranger to making jaws drop with her transformations, and regularly shares videos on her social media pages. But after being inundated with requests from followers, Cariad returned to TikTok to share her "catfish 101" video - an in-depth tutorial about how she achieves the different looks.

She began with instant tan on her neck and chest, as she said "instant tan makes your make-up look better". Cariad then went in with some contouring on her nose - an optional step but one she said is good to "add some colour" to the visage. She also used the cream bronzer to line underneath her eyebrow, before using a concealer to spot conceal any problem areas. For her eyes, Cariad used the P Louise chocolate palette, which gives a full coverage effect due to having both creams and powders in it.

"If you love a brown smoky eye, this will be your staple," she noted. With a big fluffy eyeshadow brush, she took the light brown warm shade and ran it all over the areas she'd already put the cream bronzer. She then used a smaller fluffy brush and went in with the darker brown shade - dragging it down the side of her nose and using it to "carve out" the cut crease on her eyes. Cariad continued her "foolproof" make-up routine by setting her eyelid with a bit of powder.

With any excess left on the brush, she then blended out the eyeshadow "really softly". Next up, she took a small detailing brush and used some dark brown eyeshadow in the areas she would be putting her winged eyeliner - as the trick helps to "disguise" where the false lashes attach. The next step was Cariad taking an eyeliner pencil, to do a tight line and water line, and winging it out a little bit, before adding mascara and false lashes.

Once she was done with the eyes, Cariad moved onto the base. To prep the skin, she used a rich moisturiser before she started "under painting" with a bronzing cream duo. Explaining why she uses such a lot of bronzer on her forehead, Cariad explained: "I hate the size of my forehead and contouring it makes it seem a lot smaller, in my mind.". She urged people to "go heavy handed" when underpainting, as everything else that's put on top ends up "sheering it out".

New data has revealed that 40 per cent of us know someone who has been catfished, while 22 per cent have fallen for catfish themselves. 1. You can't find them online. Almost everyone has a social media presence - especially those who are willing to try dating apps. So if you can't find them anywhere online, like a Facebook, Instagram or even LinkedIn account, this could be a major red flag. April says: “If you’re suspicious, ask to add them on Facebook or Instagram. If they refuse or the account they send you looks new, that’s a red flag.”.

2. Conversations got personal, quickly. Catfish are well known for ‘love-bombing,’ which is a form of emotional manipulation. So, if the person you’re talking to immediately goes over the top with compliments, wants to communicate all the time, and makes statements like ‘I love you’ within a few days of speaking, it’s a big red flag. 3. They don't open up. If someone is asking a lot of questions about you but is not willing to offer up much in return, this could be a catfish red flag.

This is because these scammers are, of course, not who they say they are and it can be hard for them to keep their lies straight. As a result, most catfishes would rather not give out any personal info at all if they can help it. 4. They ask for money. Asking for money, no matter the reason, is a huge red flag. Whether they want a bank transfer or your credit card number, catfishes have a wide range of sob stories to tell when it's time to try to swindle you out of your cash.

5. They won't show their face. Unsurprisingly, someone who doesn't want to show who they are in a video call or real-time pictures could be a catfish. The last thing a catfish wants is for you to see their real face because they usually steal pictures from someone else to use. This means they are likely to refuse to send photos or do video calls. Next, Cariad applied her foundation, as she said that in order to get the perfect full coverage finish, you need to use brushes to apply rather than a beauty blender.

Once the foundation was on, she went in with cream bronzer and blush over the areas she'd already applied it. She also used a lighter concealer rather than a highlighter in the areas she wanted to be lighter, such as under her eyes and her cheekbones. With an angle fluffy brush, Cariad blended all the concealer out to ensure it looked "seamless". I swear UK make-up might just be the best out there. She then set her forehead and under eyes with some powder, before going in with more cream bronzer and blusher, and then more powder blusher and bronzer on the top.
