Coronation Street has seemingly confirmed the exit storyline of three characters, as they prepare to bid farewell to the cobbles for new opportunities in London. Last week, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) was thrilled to receive a job offer from her dream magazine – the only drawback being that the position was in London.

When she confided in fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), she was disappointed when he automatically assumed that she had already turned down the role, as it didn’t align with their current lifestyle. However, in tonight’s episode she made a bold move and accepted the job anyway.
When Daniel arrived home, she revealed what she had done, before explaining that she had found a cheap flat with a short lease that they could rent. She begged him to consider a trial period of living in London, before asking him what reason they had to stay in Weatherfield.
