A month after the sudden death of reality TV star and performer The Vivienne, Dancing on Ice star Colin Grafton paid a touching and subtle tribute to his late friend on social media. The heartfelt gesture comes as fans continue to process the loss of The Vivienne, a star who rose to fame after winning RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019. The Vivienne, whose real name was James Lee Williams, was known not only for her fierce presence on stage but also for her kind heart and warmth behind the scenes. They was an influential figure in the world of drag, but her impact transcended the drag community, with countless people across the UK and beyond admiring her.

Colin, a close friend of The Vivienne, took to Instagram, late last night, to pay tribute to them, showing that they remain in his thoughts. In a Story, the professional ice skater showcased his latest outfit on the rink, but it was his caption that carried a poignant tone. Colin wrote: "Tonight was extra special. Thank you to you all for voting." He added: "This was The Vivienne's' last costume on our season of Dancing on Ice and it felt so special to wear it tonight, she was with me.".

The news of The Vivienne’s death shocked many, sending waves through the entertainment community, with tributes pouring in from fans, friends, and colleagues alike. The Vivienne was found dead at their home in Cheshire on Sunday January 5 - leaving fans shocked and heartbroken by the loss. An inquest into the 32-year-old's death was opened and adjourned at Cheshire Coroner's Court in Warrington last week. Coroner's officer Amanda Edgar said Williams was found dead in the bathroom at their home address in Chorlton-by-Backford, near Chester.

Police attended and confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances. Ms Edgar said: "Post-mortem testing has been undertaken, identifying an unnatural cause of death.". Area coroner Victoria Davies said: "Given the unnatural cause of death identified on post-mortem testing it is appropriate for me to formally open the inquest into the death of James Lee Williams.". She added that further investigations are required. The case was adjourned and a full inquest was listed to take place on June 30.

Williams, who grew up in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, before moving to Liverpool, won the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and came third in the 2023 edition of Dancing On Ice alongside his pro partner, Colin. Dancing On Ice hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern addressed the cameras to pay tribute to the late drag performer last month. Holly, 43, said: "Before we move on, like us, many of you have been saddened by the tragedy of The Vivienne’s passing last weekend. Now, they were a huge part of the show, making it all the way to the final in 2023 and they’ll be very sorely missed. Our thoughts are with The Vivienne’s loved ones at this sad time. So sad.".
