Dennis Basso focuses on wearable and practical for fall 25, debuting a luxurious collection with modern sensibility and edge

Dennis Basso unveiled his fall 2025 collection in front of editors, influencers, celebrities, and industry professionals during New York Fashion Week. Unlike season's past, Basso opted to debut the collection as a presentation as opposed to a runway show. 'I just thought it was a very nice way to show the clothes as if it was art,' the legendary designer told Daily Mail. Adding, 'The inspiration was the iconic American Woman and here we are in this iconic house that was built in 1860 and I thought the whole combination made it very special.'.

The showcase took place at the Columbus Foundation located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 8 East 69th Street. In the collection, inspirational opulence and modern sensibility converge amidst the grandeur and historic charm of the home. We saw dinner dresses, cocktail pant suits, and evening gowns paired with cropped fur jackets and luxurious long fur coats - signatures of the Dennis Basso brand.

'I'm most proud of the idea that it's wearable and that's what I wanted it to be; wearable and practical, that was what was important to me.'. A neutral color palette of champagne, cream, gold and black lent to the versatility of the collection, while deep bordeaux added an element of surprise.

Fabrications including duchess satin, tweed, velvet, silk charmeuse, and organza ensured a harmonious blend of structure and softness. The intimate presentation allowed attendees to see the designs' incredible detail up close. 'They can touch it and know what it's about,' shared the iconic designer. Recognizing the importance of versatility in today's fashion, designs from the "Dennis by Dennis Basso" Collection for QVC were incorporated into the looks.

In the collection, inspirational opulence and modern sensibility converge amidst the grandeur and historic charm of the home. Classic hairstyles and makeup looks were created by Julien Farel. Before the presentation, all 30 models got glam at Julien’s salon located in the Regency Hotel located on Park Avenue.

Hairstyles, including loose relaxed styles, low ponytails and messy buns, were customized to each model according to her hair texture and silhouette. Gorgeous locks were complemented with 'Halo makeup' eyes. The statement eye makeup consists of intensifying the inner and outer corners with deep dark tones while highlighting the center of the eyelids using warm earth tones with metallic gold in the center for a radiant eye-catching effect.
