A Dragons’ Den contestant was found dead in a woodland area, an inquest has heard. Graeme Turner was found dead in Pwllheli, North Wales, on October 1, at the age of 53, a coroner said, according to reports. The graphic designer had appeared on the BBC entrepreneurial competition in 2010.

He was looking for £50,000 for a 5% stake in his business, but walked out of the Den without any offers. His company produced wallpaper kits which could transform bedrooms into football stadiums. At the time, the investors included Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden.

According to The Sun, coroner Kate Robertson said Turner’s cause of death was suicide. His funeral took place on January 16. Turner has been remembered on Facebook by friends and family. At the end of the year, his son Paul wrote on Facebook: ‘I have just lost the best, strongest, kindest, most loyal, courageous dad I have ever had and known, he was the godfather the inspiration in my life. I am devastated and that is an understatement.’.
A post on the Clarkston Rangers Supporters Club also paid tribute, saying: ‘It’s with a heavy heart to announce we lost a very good friend and past member of The Supporters Club prior to Christmas. Graeme Turner sadly passed away after a long battle with illness.
