A fifth person has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in east London, the Metropolitan Police have said. Jason Romeo, 20, died after being found with knife wounds in Bodney Road, Hackney, at around 6pm on 18 February. On Friday, Joshua Ogedengbe, 19, of Lewisham in southeast London will appear at Thames Magistrates Court charged with his murder. He was arrested on Wednesday.

Four other people have already been charged. They are: Raynolph Asante, 22, of Hackney; Travis Mitchell, 22, of Hackney; Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21, of Walthamstow, and Renaldo Roberts, 25, of Hackney. All four will remain in custody before they appear at the Old Bailey on 3 November.

Inquiries are still ongoing, the Met said. Keep up with all the latest news from the UK and around the world by following Sky News. At the start of the week, Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall of Central East Command Unit said officers would be making extra patrols in the area.
