Most people go on health kicks at the start of January and ditch fast food for fruit and vegetables. However, one man has done the opposite, and is eating McDonald's everyday for 100 days to "prove he doesn't gain weight". Competitive eater Zach Zona, known on Instagram as @zona.eats, has taken to the site to share videos of himself eating from McDonald's daily. He says he is completing the challenge to show that he won't put on any pounds, however some people are sceptical.

Zach started the fast food eating challenge on November 27, as he took to his Instagram to share a video of himself eating a McDonald's hamburger. He told his 22,000 followers: "Day 1 eating McDonald's every single day for 100 days to prove I will not gain weight.".

The video certainly caught people's attention, as it racked up more than 37,000 likes. Many said that even if he didn't gain weight, the food challenge may not be great for his health, as one person said: "You can stay the same exact weight and still clog your arteries to the point of a heart blockage. Hope this helps.".

Another agreed: "Skinny doesn’t mean healthy you really shouldn’t be eating that stuff so much. No judgement though." While a third person chimed in: "Outside of gaining weight this just isn’t healthy.". Many also brought up 2004 documentary 'Super Size Me', which followed Morgan Spurlock's social experiment which saw him attempting to eat uniquely on food from the McDonald's menu for an entire month. In the process his weight ballooned, his energy level plummeted and he experienced all sorts of unexpected side effects.
