COPS have urged locals to check their sheds as they ramp up the search for a missing mum who vanished on a trip to Morrisons. Specialist search teams have been deployed to hunt for Charlene Hobbs, 35, who disappeared on July 24, 2024 in Adamsdown, Cardiff.

Areas across South Wales will be thoroughly investigated, including derelict premises, vehicles and open land. Police forces from different areas will coordinate the search to try and track down Charlene, who hasn't been seen for almost six months. They have appealed to people living in the Splott and Roath areas to check their outbuildings and empty properties, where the woman may have taken shelter.

A spokesperson from South Wales Police, said they would continue to "engage with the local community" in order to secure Charlene's whereabouts. Speaking to those who might hold any information and delivering leaflets to key addresses are among their top priorities.

He added: “There remain several possible explanations for Charlene’s disappearance, and I am maintaining an open mind as we do all we can to establish what has happened to her. "I do believe that answers as to where Charlene is lie in the community and that members of the public can assist us returning Charlene to her family.".

The cops urged residents to come forward with information "no matter how insignificant" they may feel it is. They added: “Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. Like us, they are all extremely concerned for her welfare and are desperate for answers.”.
