Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), the father of Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) has been killed in Emmerdale, and one person in particular thinks she’s to blame. Prior to his death, Anthony spent time tutoring Arthur (Alfie Clarke) and Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), children of Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).

At the time, the two characters had no idea that Anthony was responsible for sexually abusing Ruby when she was younger. In a devastating episode which aired recently, Ruby found out that Anthony is the father of her daughter Steph, not Caleb (William Ash).

After this, she told Nicola that Anthony shouldn’t be near children in order to prevent him from spending anymore time with Arthur and Angel. It led to Nicola confronting Anthony, who got angry in a desperate moment. Following behind Nicola was Laurel, who then attacked Anthony with a candlestick.

In upcoming episodes, the aftermath of Anthony’s death unfolds and Steph is surprised to see her granddad’s car has disappeared, unaware of what has really happened. The next day, Chas approaches Ruby and admits she told Nicola about Anthony being a danger to children. Desperate for Steph to not find out, Ruby tells Chas to take back what she said.
