Mark Zuckerberg mercilessly mocked for 'midlife crisis' after gushing over Kim Kardashian

Mark Zuckerberg has been mocked online after he posted a photo of himself wearing a Kim Kardashian hoodie. The 40-year-old billionaire took to Instagram on Monday and modelled his new black garment, which has the words 'Kim is my lawyer' scrawled across it in white. The Facebook CEO captioned the post: 'The only appropriate hoodie @krisjenner,' tagging Kim's momager. Kim, 44, was quick to comment and simply wrote: 'Hahaha I love it!!!' but other Instagram users weren't so complimentary.

'So bizarre this midlife crisis you're going through,' one person said, while another simply told him: 'Nobody cares.'. A third branded the stunt as 'gross,' while a fourth person claimed: 'Mark trying to fit in.'. Someone else argued that Mark was on a mission 'to tag and mingle with all these celebrities' as another furiously shared: 'Cut your hair. You're not a teenager or a little girl.'. And several people were quick to mention the fact that Zuckerberg posted the picture on the same day that Meta laid off 4,000 employees.

Someone else fumed: 'How can you smile when you've just destroyed thousands of lives and families with Meta layoffs?'. Another person agreed and replied: 'He's so out of touch, it's crazy. Destroyed so many innocent people's lives and is out here making tone deaf jokes. He would get the karma he deserves one day.'.

It comes after Zuckerberg reportedly complained to Meta's entire staff that his internal remarks kept getting leaked. 'We try to be really open and then everything I say leaks,' he told Meta's more than 70,000 employees in an 'all-hands' meeting, according to The Verge. 'It sucks,' he added. But within a few hours, Zuckerberg's remarks at the staff meeting were also leaked to the press. In a brazen attempt to prevent any further embarrassment, Meta Chief Information Security Officer Guy Rosen sent a company-wide email warning employees there would be 'repercussions' for anyone who was caught speaking to the media.

Zuckerberg, seen here in September 2025, reportedly complained to Meta's entire staff that his internal remarks kept getting leaked. 'We take leaks seriously and will take action,' he warned in the internal memo - which was also leaked to the press. 'When information is stolen or leaked, there are repercussions beyond the immediate security impact,' Rosen continued.
