Netflix has officially revealed that rom-com series XO, Kitty has been renewed for a third season, just one month after the second instalment was released on the streaming platform. The show is a spin-off of the To All the Boys film series and was the first Netflix series to be spun off from a Netflix original film. Netflix shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a sweet reel featuring lead actress Anna Cathcart, who plays Katherine "Kitty" Song-Covey.

The clip shows Anna opening her door on Valentine's Day and being presented with roses and presents, which she later reveals as a script for season three. She gushed: "It's official, season three of XO, Kitty is in the works," as fans flocked to the comments section to share their excitement. One fan expressed: "OMG YES! They were quick haha. I am so excited. Such a cute way to do this, haha love it.".

Another person commented: "Yes, omg I needed this - Min Ho and Kitty need to be end game!!!". Someone else penned: "Excited for season 3 already. I love XO, Kitty so much.". Yet another fan enthused: "Omg, I screamed when I saw this, I was so excited when I saw this video of Anna Cathcart, so excited XO, Kitty is coming back. "It has to be Kitty and Min Ho that are end game, they better get together. One of my favourite shows on Netflix, can't wait.".

While a fourth added: "This is the best Valentine's present to some of us, can't wait for XO, Kitty season three.". The show focuses on high-school student Kitty, who travels to South Korea to find true love and focuses on her brand new life, friendships as well as the trials and tribulations of high-school. As well as Anna, the series also stars Gia Kim as Yuri Han, Sang Heon-Lee as Min-ho Moon, Choi Min-young as Dae-heon Kim and Anthony Keyvan as Quincy Shabazian.

The first season premiered on the streaming platform in May 2023 and received positive reviews from critics. Just a month after its release, it was renewed for a second season, which aired on January 16. The To All the Boys franchise focused on Kitty's sister, Lara Jean Song-Covey, as she dealt with her own love life struggles. Kitty played a supporting role in the three films as she helped her sister navigate her school crushes, after accidentally sending letters to all of the boys she fancies.
