Pat Perez's stint with Dustin Johnson and the 4Aces has drawn to a close, as confirmed by a social media post from LIV Golf. Perez has been a staple of the LIV setup since its inception in 2022. The ex-PGA Tour star was one of the first to make the Saudi switch three years ago, joining forces with Johnson's 4Aces and making his league debut at the second-ever event in Portland. He spent three seasons donning the 4Aces colours alongside Johnson and team, but his departure was announced by the 2022 Team Champions with a heartfelt thank you message shared across their social platforms on Thursday.

The post read: "FOREVER A 4ACE! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, PAT PEREZ," and featured a video montage of some of the 48 year old's top moments during his time with LIV. His crowning achievement came in his inaugural season when he helped the 4Aces clinch the league's first-ever Team Championship.

After contributing to his team's 2022 title victory, Perez returned for another year and was subsequently offered a contract extension for 2024 by Johnson, a gesture that the former Tour star greatly appreciated. "Couldn't be more excited," Perez expressed after receiving the contract extension. "It's phenomenal to remain a part of LIV. I'm very grateful.".

Despite the offer to extend his stay, Perez didn't manage to make an impact in 2024, struggling throughout the season. He only snagged a best finish of tying for 14th in Nashville last June, and if not for Kalle Samooja's blunder in Chicago in September, he might have faced demotion.
