Crime drama Silent Witness is back on our screens for the 28th series, and features actress Kerrie Hayes as lawyer Faith, looking very different from her best known role in 2012 BBC drama Good Cop. The Liverpudlian actress has long blonde hair in her role as Faith in the two part episode Broken, which concludes tonight (Tuesday 21 January). Faith is a female barrister who has gone missing, with Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) and her team looking into the case after a woman’s severed hand was found in a canal.
Kerrie, 36, is best known for her role as Amanda Morgan in the BBC drama series Good Cop, where she starred alongside Stephen Graham and Warren Brown and sported a severe, pulled-back and almost white blonde hairstyle as a new constable on the force. She has also appeared in the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, period drama The Mill, episodes of Casualty, Black Mirror and Vera as well as recent series The Responder and Showtrial.
The first episode of the Silent Witness two-parter that Kerrie appears in has had fans asking for a major change for lead character Nikki. In an emotional moment, Nikki informed Lucy, Faith's partner, about the grim discovery of Faith’s hand, but held onto hope that Faith might still be alive. She revealed that she discovered DNA on Faith's hand that could belong to someone else and needed to swab Faith's son Josh to rule him out.
