Silent Witness has taken to the skies for its latest episodes, with Dr Nikki Graham trying to contain a terrifying illness that's quickly spreading on a flight from Mumbai to London. While Emilia Fox stars in the episode as Dr. Nikki Graham, the two-part story welcomes a star-studded guest cast - including the likes of Emmerdale's Georgia Jay, Bank of Dave's Jo Hartley, Killing Eve's Steve Oram and The Bill's Connie Hyde.

The episode also features Midsomer Murders star Paul Hilton as Grant Townsend, a business man travelling on the same flight as Nikka when its passengers begin to experience worrying symptoms. While Silent Witness fans haven't met Grant before, one fan pointed out that this isn't the first time we've seen actor Paul in the drama.

The 55-year-old originally appeared in Silent Witness back in 2004, playing the role of William Gould - a survivor of a train crash who asks Leo Dalton (William Gaminara) and his team to investigate what happened. One particular fan took to X to point out Paul's previous role, writing: "Paul Hilton (Grant) first appeared in Silent Witness back in S8 Body 21 as a train crash survivor #silentwitness.".

It's safe to say that the characters are completely different - in both appearance and personality - with another fan writing: "He was a nice character then...this one doesn't have a very nice manner with other people...". Since his early role on Silent Witness over 20 years ago, Paul has appeared in Silk, Grantchester, A Very English Scandal and The Crown as Michael Straight. More recently, he played the role of Clifford Slavens in All Creatures Great and Small, and took on a four-episode arc as Robert Hobden in Slow Horses.
