Tamara Ecclestone has revealed that she’s been breastfeeding her 4-year-old and is no longer bothered by the criticism. The model, socialite, and TV personality is best known as the daughter of Bernie Ecclestone, the former chief executive of the Formula One Group, and Slavica Radić. Tamara has two children, 10-year-old Fifi and 4-year-old Serena, whom she shares with her husband Jay Rutland. She has now opened up about turning 40 over the summer and how freeing it has been. She also spoke out against the backlash she received after revealing that she was still breastfeeding her 4-year-old.

"I think as women you get flack for everything, whether it's that or something else, and to be hones, it's really water off a duck's back at this point," she told Closer. Opening up about how liberating it's been to turn 40 and how much it's changed her outlook, Tamara added: "I feel turning 40 is a very liberating experience and you don't really worry about things that you did in your twenties. I would never want to go back in time.".

This isn’t the first time Tamara has faced criticism for her parenting. Last spring, she was slammed by followers after revealing the exotic pet she had bought for her daughter. On 10-year-old Sophia’s birthday, Tamara posted a photo of Sophia posing next to a sloth at their family home. In the picture, Sophia was holding the sloth’s head while it hung from a branch in their living room. Tamara also shared a photo of Sophia and her younger sister, Serena, who was three at the time, smiling beneath the sloth. Fans didn't hold back their thoughts on the model bringing the animal, which is best suited to a life in the tropical rainforest, into her London home. One said: "Sloths are solitary creatures who want to be left alone, thus unlike household animals, they do not like to be touched. They don’t like humans either. I love your page but this sucks. These creatures are NOT for your enjoyment.".

Another added: "I’m disgusted by this. I’m unfollowing." Someone else fumed: "Unfollowed because this is just wrong on so many levels. Shame on you Tamara." A fourth commented: "The world doesn’t revolve around your children. You don’t have to drag wild animals in to your house for your children amusement. This is just disgusting and stupid.". "Wrong move Tamara. It shocks and stuns me that in 2024 people still use animals for things like this," quipped another. Sloth still possess all of their wild qualities, which make them unsuitable pets, and live quiet, solitary lives. According to the Sloth Conservation Foundation, the animals do not like to be petted, groomed, or bathed and don't crave human attention like dogs or cats. They also do not show obvious external signs of stress.

In the UK, a license is needed to own some animals considered to be wild, dangerous or exotic. However, sloths do not fall under the category of needing a license. Like this story?
