American football fans were left divided as Tom Brady sported a striking 49-carat yellow watch worth £600,000 at the Super Bowl. Legendary quarterback Brady, who holds the record for the most Super Bowl wins with seven, worked on the NFL showpiece as a pundit for the first time. In May 2022, when Brady was still a player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he signed a decade-long deal to be an analyst for Fox Sports worth £300million.
But it wasn't his comments on the game which got fans talking, as his wrist-wear turned heads. During coverage of the Philadelphia Eagles' 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, the 47-year-old megastar was wearing a yellow sapphire Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon timepiece at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Wristcheck revealed the details of his watch which is encrusted with 338 brilliant-cut diamonds. But not everyone in the audience was impressed by his fashion choice.
"Just because it's expensive, doesn't mean it's tasteful," one user posted on social media. "Never seen a watch that ruins the entire outfit like this one does," another said. Derek Guy, who's also known as 'the menswear guy' on X, formerly Twitter, added: "Dislike the grotesque opulence and flash of modern watches.". Some, though, praised Brady's bold decision to wear it. "Such a baller," one viewer commented. Another wrote: "Flex." One more posted: "Here for it GOAT.".

Brady will've breathed a sigh of relief when the final whistle sounded, as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 29, was denied his fourth Super Bowl. The Eagles dominated the showpiece, boasting a 24-0 lead by half-time.
