Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) have been left fearing for their futures after being involved in a violent confrontation with Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) in Emmerdale. In recent weeks, Nicola and Laurel have spent time with Anthony after asking him to help with tutoring Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) and Arthur (Alfie Clarke). They were grateful for his help, but remained unaware of his true, sinister nature.

Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) learnt last week that Anthony sexually abused Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) when she was a child. In tonight’s episode, still reeling from the discovery, Chas felt compelled to take action when she heard Nicola mentioning Anthony while in the café.

She didn’t completely go into detail, but told Nicola that Anthony shouldn’t be on his own with young people.
Noticing the fear in Chas’ eyes, Nicola raced home. There, she quickly sent Angelica away and confronted Anthony. Unsurprisingly, Anthony denied the accusations, but when Nicola got her phone out and threatened to contact Ruby, the man unleashed his desperation and anger.
