Police have released details of a wetsuit worn by a man whose body was found in a reservoir in mid Wales. Dyfed-Powys Police is continuing to investigate the death and has renewed its appeal for the public's help. The man's body was found in Claerwen Reservoir, Powys, on 18 October 2024.

A member of the public called the police having seen a body in the water shortly before 8.30am. Police have estimated the body could have been in the water for up to 12 weeks when it was found. Detective Inspector Anthea Ponting, senior investigating officer, thanked all those who had already come forward after previous appeals.

"We have carried out numerous enquiries, including checking missing people records with other forces and conducting forensic enquiries both locally and wider in conjunction with law enforcement partners," she added. A post-mortem has been carried out and has confirmed the man was between 30 and 60 years old and approximately 6ft.
