Daniel Levy is without a doubt, a businessman first and then chairman Tottenham second. While the club has become one of top valued clubs under his tenure, they have failed to translate it to on-field success. Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson once highlighted Levy as a fierce negotiator when it came to transfer dealings. He claimed that he hated dealing with the Spurs chairman, calling negotiations for Dimitar Berbatov back in 2008 as “more painful than my hip replacement”. Levy is the longest serving chairman at any Premier League club having taken over the role in 2001.

But What do we know about the Spurs chairman, his net worth and personal life?. Levy and his family hold 29.4% stake in ENIC International limited, who own around 86.58% of Tottenham. This makes the Levy’s a minority stake-holder in the English football club. Tottenham are estimated to be worth around £2.42billion as of 2025, with the club’s financial rise only being a phenomena in the last decade. The rise in the club’s stature has also contributed proportionally to Levy’s wealth.

Levy is understood to be worth close to £400million as per latest reports. He is the son of Barry Levy, a Jewish businessman and owner of the Blue Inc. (formerly Mr. Byrite) clothing and menswear brand, which has over 41 stores across the UK. Levy is married to his former personal assistant Tracy Dixon and the couple have four children. While his role as chairman of Tottenham is high profile, his family has largely remained out of the spotlight.

Born on 8 February, 1962 in Essex, England, Levy has supposedly been a Spurs fan since his childhood. He reportedly attended his first game at the White Hart Lane way back in the 1960s. He studied Economics at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and graduated in 1985 with a First Class Honours Degree. His family is well known among business circles and Levy’s grandfather had started a firm back in 1912 in Stratford, which traded as A. Levy & Sons.

Levy has had a good relationship with his current manager - splashing out over £350million on transfers during the Australian's 18 month tenure. The club, however, is currently floundering and find themselves sat 14th in the Premier League in what is their worst season for well over a decade. Though the club has been performing poorly this season, it is understood that Postecoglou has the full backing of Levy and the board. The Australian has continued to justify the team’s poor displays - largely attributing it to their lengthy injury list.

Spurs have continued to invest in an effort to save their season with Yang Min-Hyeok, Antonin Kinsky and Kevin Danso all arriving in January. The north Londoners all saw off competition from domestic rivals to land Bayern Munich ’s 19-year-old star Mathys Tel on deadline day. Levy oversaw the building of Tottenham’s new stadium, which was completed in 2019. Now known as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having replaced the iconic White Hart Lane.

The new stadium has a seating capacity of over 62,500 and is one of the largest in the United Kingdom. Levy has been praised for the stadium’s financial success as it generated over £11million in revenue in the 2023/24 season, as per reports, with the venue also hosting NFL games in the capita. However, fans have criticised Levy for a lack of ambition in the transfer windows and for his failure to deliver trophies, even though Tottenham are considered to be among the traditional top six. Despite their rise and jump in valuations, supporters have felt that over the years Levy has not backed the managers as much as he should have done.
