Social media users are going wild for a "genius" food hack that promises to keep your spaghetti organised and fresh in the cupboard. Social media isn't just for catching up with friends or keeping tabs on your favourite celebs; it's also a treasure trove of tips and tricks that could revolutionise your life. Every so often, our kitchen cupboards need a tidy-up, and one pasta storage solution is ideal for freeing up space and extending the shelf-life of your dry spaghetti.

Spaghetti typically comes in a cardboard box or plastic bag. But if you don't use all of it at once, you might end up with strands spilling out or breaking. Fear not, though, as there's an easy solution to the problem. A clever trick has taken TikTok by storm, courtesy of @knowledge_in_ease, amassing thousands of likes.

The user behind the viral video dubbed the method a "food storage life hack that I really like.". All you need is two sandwich bags to do it. A pack of 75 sandwich bags are available at Dunelm for £2, while Home Bargains is selling two lots of 50 packs for £1.18. Sainsbury's sells 60 easy seal sandwich bags for £2.

Here's how it works – take one sandwich bag and slide your hand into it, then scoop up your spaghetti and place it inside. Next, take another sandwich bag and cover the other end of your spaghetti strands. To save space in your cupboards, simply press down on the seals of the sandwich bags until they mesh, creating a large bag for items like pasta.
