Comedy stars and brother Charlie Cooper join the cast of series two of Am I Being Unreasonable?. Written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, Am I Being Unreasonable? was a smash hit for the BBC in 2022 with 3.2 million viewers. The show's first season won three RTS Awards and was nominated for three BAFTAs, including a BAFTA for best male comedy performance for Lenny Rush as Nic’s son Ollie.
Many cast members return for the latest series but a number of new faces are joining the cast in guest and recurring roles. Daisy May Cooper reunites with Cooper's real-life brother and This Country co-creator Charlie Cooper who plays a cartomancer that helps Nic. Ahead of the new series of Am I Being Unreasonable?, this is who is in the cast of series two. Daisy May Cooper as Nic. Nic is a lonely wife who is revealed to have killed her secret lover, Alex, in the first series. How will she cope with this and rebuild her relationship with her husband?.
Speaking about her return, Daisy May Cooper said: "If you thought Lenny Rush's BAFTA-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all.... livid.". Cooper previously created and starred as Kerry Mucklowe in BBC Three sitcom This Country but also appeared in Rain Dogs, The Witchfinder, Avenue 5, Taskmaster and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Selin Hizli as Jen. Jen is Nic's friend and the mother of a boy at Ollie's school, Harry and appears to have an obsession with Nic. Hizli previously appeared in Grantchester as well as Mum, Appropriate Adult, Father Brown Deadwater Fell, Luther and other series. Dustin Demri-Burns as Dan. Dan is Nic's husband who has taken up rollerblading to channel his mid-life crisis. By series two, the pair are having marriage counselling.
Demri-Burns previously starred in the sketch show Cardinal Burns, while he has also had roles in Slow Horses, Sweetpea The Great, Stath Lets Flats and The Capture. Lenny Rush as Ollie. Ollie is Nic's son who is revealed to have killed the family cat. Lenny won a BAFTA for Best Male Comedy Performance for his work in series one. The award-winning actor has also appeared in Doctor Who, Would I Lie to You? Apple Tree Yard, A Christmas Carol, The Dumping Ground and Dodger.
David Fynn as Alex. Alex is revealed to have been killed by Nic at the end of series one, but he will have a recurring role in series two. Viewers will recognise him from Daddy Issues, The Inbetweeners, Peep Show, Doctor Who and Black Mirror, as well as His Wife and the Canoe. Who else is returning to Am I Being Unreasonable?. The cast returning to the series includes Juliet Cowan (Back to Life), Phil Dunning (Smoggie Queens), Georgie Glenn (Call the Midwife), Beatie Edney (Poldark) and Amanda Wilkin (The Split).
Charlie Cooper. Charlie Cooper will have his first onscreen reunion with sister Daisy May Cooper since their BAFTA-winning This Country. Charlie previously appeared in Stags, See How They Run, Stath Lets Flats and Charlie Cooper's Myth Country. Chelsea Peretti. The US actress appears as a relationship counsellor. She previously appeared in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live.
Tom Davis. The comedian previously appeared in Wonka, King Gary, The Curse, The Virtues and Plebs. Other stars include Denise Black (Queer as Folk), Jamali Maddix (Never Mind the Buzzcocks) and British rapper and poet Kojey Radical, Helen Ann Bauer (Live at the Apollo), Marek Larwood (We Are Klang) and Karla Crome (Under the Dome).
