While chaos is set to unfold on-screen in the second season of Am I Being Unreasonable, production of the hit BBC show was abruptly interrupted by a major life event. Reprising her role as the irreverent Nic, series creator Daisy May Cooper joined forces with Selin Hizli once again (and playwright Jack Thorne) to finally reveal to fans what happened after Alex's botched memorial.

Filming was off to a smooth start, with a majority of the show's original cast reprising their roles, from Lenny Rush to Dustin Demri-Burns. But despite setting her ducks in a row ahead of production, Daisy faced a spanner in the works in the middle of filming.

"I was pregnant when we started filming", she recalls, "and then my son was born seven weeks early, so we had to stop filming right in the middle.". The This Country star, 38, welcomed her third child Benji, whom she shares with partner Anthony Huggins, ahead of time in June, 2024, resulting in a long pause in production as she waited for the rest of the cast to be available before filming resumed.

"I have a brilliant son," Daisy adds, "but that was really stressful." And her partner in crime Selin, 36, couldn't agree more: "I don't know how she did it, to be honest with you. There was a huge amount to do." Daisy's post-baby appearance also meant she debuted a new look in front of the camera.
