Baba Vanga's predictions that came true in 2024 and what she got wrong

Several chilling predictions made by blind mystic Baba Vanga appear to have come true this year, as she foresaw the economic crisis and the worsening climate crisis gripping the world. Also known as Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, Baba was a blind Bulgarian clairvoyant who became famous in Eastern Europe in the mid-twentieth century for her alleged powers of precognition. She was born in 1911 and lost her sight when she was just 12 years old after a storm hit her village, after which she claimed to be able to see into the future. She died in 1996.
She made several predictions for 2024, several of which seem to have been correct. One of her forecasts was of an economic crisis which would cause rising tensions worldwide. Although the UK’s economy grew a little this year, many people are continuing to have to rely on foodbanks to feed themselves and their families. Uncertainty reins around the world, with billions struggling financially amid inflation and job layoffs. Although not a slam dunk of a prediction, it could be argued Baba’s prediction was not far off the mark.
Another of her visions for 2024 was the alarming climate crisis, as she pointed towards "environmental challenges” which few can argue with. With a little over a week to go until the new year, 2024 is on course to be the warmest on record. Worldwide there have been extreme weather events which have cost the lives of countless people. Recently, in Valencia, huge amounts of rain sparked deadly floods which covered areas which had never flooded before, turning streets into fast flowing rivers in mere minutes.
