BBC Flog It! star, Michael Baggott, shared a tragic, final post on social media before his death was announced today. The antiques expert has sadly died, aged, 65, after suffering a heart attack in hospital in Birmingham. Taking to Instagram from his hospital bed back in December, Michael admitted he didn't know how long he had left as he shared his advice for Christmas gift ideas, telling his followers his book on antiques may be a good shout in what he called: "hospital bed marketing".

Captioning the video: "The perfect gift for Christmas, especially for someone you love, especially for someone you don’t want to spend a great deal of money on," Michael announced, while lying in bed on a stroke ward,: "Hospital bed marketing. Pulling on the heart strings, I suppose. If you're looking for a Christmas gift, why not buy A Lifetime in Antiques by Michael Baggot?".

Pointing out that the book has got rave reviews on Amazon, "not made by friends and family", Michael continues: "There are very few copies left and the chances are, as you can see, I'm in a hospital bed on considerable amounts of medication, coursing through my veins, I may well drop dead soon and in that case the value of it will soar and become a collector's item.".

Conceding that there was a real possibility he would be "dead before Christmas", he concludes: "A lifetime in Antiques, quite literally, because I don't know how much longer I've got left. Perhaps when I've battled this journey of ill health, if that happens, it will be The Tiimes' best seller. However, the chances are I'll be dead before Christmas.".
