BBC The Traitors winner sealed after just episode as fans fume at twist

Claudia Winkleman stunned fans of The Traitors on Wednesday when she revealed the major way this year’s show will change . And viewers are now convinced that because of the shock twist , they know who’ll win this year’s show. The smash hit programme follows 25 strangers as they battle it out in the Scottish Highlands to win the £120,000 prize money.
But as the BBC1 show returned last night, Claudia revealed finalists will no longer know if they’re banishing Traitors or Faithful at the very last stage of the game. Traitors have to kill off fellow players without being caught, while the Faithfuls have to work out who the Traitors are and banish them, before becoming their next victim.
The final survivors have the chance of winning the cash prize. However, if a Traitor makes it through undetected, they will be able to claim the prize. Claudia said of the format tweak: “The final twist is so smart. At the end, I will thank somebody for taking part and they will just walk out.
“It underlines that you think you know how to play but you don’t. If you went to the castle, you might have a way of working it out – this change takes away all of that. It goes back to the main body of the show, which is trust and gut instinct.”.
Taking to social media to discuss the switch up, some fans insisted the change was unfair and said that because of it, it’s easier to guess who will win. One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “The odds are already so heavily stacked against The Faithfuls, this plot twist is going to make it impossible for the faithfuls to win.”.
