The cold and wet winter weather has wreaked havoc with my lips, as I am suffering with sore chapped lips on a regular basis. I have tried numerous lip balms, glosses and scrubs, but there is one lipcare item high on my radar after causing a storm on social media – Boots Berry Lip Mask. The Berry Lip Mask retails for a purse-friendly £4.50, but the price is not the only reason it has been popular.  While it promises to nourish and rehydrate dry and cracked lips, shoppers have also drawn comparison to Laneige’s bestselling Lip Sleeping Mask that costs £21.

Similar to Laneige’s hero lip product, the Boots’ Berry Lip Mask works like a face mask in a sense it is to be applied at night, left to work its magic overnight and leave your lips silky smooth and nourished in the morning.

Of course you can apply in the daytime too for an extra boost of hydration, especially for those with dry lips. I also wear mine over a lip liner when I want to achieve a no make-up make-up look as the formula is longlasting. While it is berry scented, and looks like a soft blush pink, the formula is actually clear when it is applied to the lips. Boots has scored five star ratings for this affordable make-up and skincare hybrid.

One happy shopper gushed: ‘It is great. Nourishing, softening, soothing great overnight mask at amazing price.’. A separate customer added: ‘Brought this Sleep Lip Mask though I didn’t have high hopes, but I’ve loved it. I thought I’d give it a go as the price tag looked good, my lips are super soft and hydrated. I found it was better than the Laneige Lip Mask – definitely buy it again.’.

A third praised: ‘This lip balm is actually better than the Laneige one! It smells like bubblegum, but not overpowering. I use it in the morning and night, and it keeps my lips moisturised all day/night without any need to top up in between. Lips feel soft and hydrated in the morning, it’s not greasy or very sticky on the lips either. Comes with a cute spatula too. Definitely get this, you won’t regret it for £4.50!’.

The Boots Berry Lip Mask is under £5, which is already a bargain buy and is a huge saving in comparison to the premium Laneige creation.  But, what if we told you you could save more?.
