Boyzone documentary's shattering final scene leaves fans in tears

Boyzone fans have been left in floods of tears after watching a new explosive documentary about the chart-topping Irish boyband. Boyzone: No Matter What explores the highs and lows of the band's illustrious career, with archive and new interviews with Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and the band's manager Louis Walsh. During their total 19 years together, they enjoyed massive success in the UK, with 21 singles in the top 40 and 22 in the Irish charts, with six UK No.1 singles and nine in Ireland.
But behind the scenes, the lads struggled to get on and the group was rocked by in-fighting. They split for good after a 2019 farewell tour. At the end of the new series, cameras filmed Ronan, Keith and Shane as they reunite for a friendly pint - but Mikey was absent. During the band's heyday, Mikey struggled with his mental health, a topic that the documentary makers do not shy away from. In a VT Mikey explains that his life has moved on now, and he has left Boyzone in the past. He explains: "I wish them all the best, no grudges, no animosity, nothing.
There was a clear split between Ronan and Mikey and Keith and Shane during the band's farewell tour. The former were annoyed by the latter's partying, and didn't think that they were taking the tour or their performances seriously. "However, I don't want to go back to how I felt for many years. To see them, if it were for too long, would remind me of that. My future is far too important for me to waste it looking back at my past but I wish everybody well.".
Ronan said: "They had been out all day, drinking all day and it was messy", with Keith confirming: "We'd certainly partied a little harder than we usually did - it was the end of the road.". But it seems that their arguments also went up a notch, and the biggest dressing room bust-up was between Keith and Mikey. Whatever went down has left scars for both men, with Keith refusing to expand on what happened.
He said: "There were things that had happened that were cruel and I'm not going to express any more than that. "One of my biggest regrets is how much I clashed with Mikey.". Mikey also declined to elaborate, saying: "I just wanted to get out and get away from that toxic environment. It didn't have to be that way if we all had better skills at understanding each other better. "I am so grateful for all I have endured good and bad because it's brought me to be the man I am today.".
Shane also revealed he has not seen or spoken to Mikey for four years, and the 52-year-old - who now lives a lowkey life in the Irish countryside - did not attend the official screening of the show last week.
