Cat owner shares freaky reality of owning pet – and people are horrified

Cats are such wonderful animals, not only do they reduce loneliness, they can also improve your mental health owning one. While it might be expensive owning a cat, in some cases, these pets of yours can really put you on the edge of your seat. Whether they don't just come home for the night, or bring back a little friend, there's also a lot of stress which comes with keeping them safe.
Now one pet owner recently revealed the realities of having a cat – and it's left people truly horrified over on TikTok. User @melissasantoro, who boasts over 4,000 followers, shared a clip of their cat sitting on the edge of the window. Looking at the image for too long might even leave you squirming as the adorable animal doesn't seem too fazed by the idea of playing with death like that. The words above the unbothered cat reads: "POV: You own a cat.".
People who have a cat of their own will know exactly how this feels – but viewers in the TikTok comments section were actually quite horrified by the animal's bravery. As it's sitting on the outside of the window, it looks like they're up quite a lot of floors.
The post garnered 1.1million likes and 4,100 comments since it was shared. One wrote: "'Don't worry I've got 9 lives' *laughing emoji*." Another added: "My intrusive thoughts, I'd be shaken if my kitty was that high up." A third asked: "Why are cats so unbothered by these things?".
