Couple stunned to find 'strange noise' in wall wasn't what they were expecting

A couple were left gobsmacked after they discovered the source of strange noises coming from inside their wall. The pair, who shared their experience on TikTok under the username Lacy Days, filmed themselves cutting into a plasterboard panel to investigate.
To their surprise, they found what initially appeared to be a large ball of grey fluff. However, it soon became clear that the 'fluff' was actually a cat, as Lacy's partner pointed out: "That's a cat. You can see it breathing.". Despite being stuck, the cat showed little sign of movement, leading her partner to comment, "She's wedged." Eventually, the feline managed to free itself and stepped out of the small space.
Recognising the cat, Lacy suggested it belonged to a neighbour named Taylor and instructed her partner to fetch a kennel so they could return the cat home. The video prompted other TikTok users to share similar experiences, with one recalling: "My mum had carpet laid in her house a few days later a neighbour said her cat was missing, we heard it meowing under the floorboards and was lucky enough to find it.".
Another added: "I had to do the same but it was a two-week old kitten, who I bottle fed and she just turned one. I also found her brother in my garage and they are together living their best life.". A third cat owner shared a similar experience, saying: "My cats did this in our unfinished garage... my dad cut so many holes in the walls trying to find them.".
Meanwhile, another person was left stunned by the footage, questioning if the cat could be their long-lost feline: "Wait, when is this and where are you? " they asked. "We lost our cat three years ago in northern Michigan. Her name is Clover and she was a highland lynx. She looks just like this... we thought the coyotes got her.".
