A curious cat's bedtime routine has been exposed, and it's melted the hearts of millions online. The cat's owners were baffled as to why their feline friend wasn't using its bed, but a home camera revealed the adorable truth. In a video posted on X, the black and white cat is seen sneaking into a young boy's room, presumably the owners' son, as he sleeps.

The cat jumps onto the bed and snuggles up beside the boy's head, who instinctively wraps his arm around the kitty, pulling it in for a hug and tucking it under the duvet. As the pair cuddle up together, the cat's eyes slowly close, and it drifts off to sleep.

The heartwarming clip, shared on the Posts Of Cats page, has amassed an impressive 13.7 million views, 148,000 likes, 9,700 retweets, and 339 comments since being uploaded on January 27. The caption reads: "Owners couldn't figure out why the cat wasn't sleeping in its bed...then they saw this.".

One X user gushed: "I'm not crying, you're crying." Another user cooed: "Aww, the sneaky kitty found a comfier spot.". A third person speculated: "He was waiting for that little arm to hug him - so precious." A fourth user declared: "Cutest video of the day!" while another fan adored how the cat falls asleep at the end of the video.

Further reactions to the heartwarming video included comments such as "awww that's so adorable", "Wholesome!", "cats are amazing" and "guardian angel." One user amusingly pointed out that "cats can sleep anywhere" while others shared their own experiences of their feline friends' sleeping habits.
