Chelsea are set for a busy end to the January transfer window, with several potential incomings and outgoings on the cards. Enzo Maresca's side currently sit sixth in the Premier League, just one point off the top four, and they are also still competing in the FA Cup and the UEFA Conference League. There has been little movement in the January window so far, despite the Blues wanting to ship out a number of fringe players.

Renato Veiga has joined Juventus on loan for the remainder of the campaign, while youngsters Zain Silcott-Duberry and Kai Crampton have completed permanent moves to Bournemouth. With all that in mind, Mirror Football takes a look at the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the club.

Aston Villa are in talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Axel Disasi, with Unai Emery keen to bring in defensive reinforcements following the sale of Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce. Disasi has made just four league starts so far this season and is understood to prefer a move to Villa, despite interest from clubs in Italy and other Premier League teams like Wolves. Personal terms are a formality, but a loan fee and salary coverage remains under discussion.

Disasi joined Chelsea from Monaco back in 2023 for £38.5million and he ended up scoring on his debut as the Blues drew 1-1 with Liverpool. The 26-year-old signed a long-term deal and is under contract until 2029. Villa have also rekindled their interest in Joao Felix, who they attempted to sign last summer before he made the move to Chelsea.
