Following the Week 15 matchup, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed the extent of Mahomes's injury. The coach assured fans that the injury wasn't as bad as initially feared but did concede that the signal caller was in pain. 'His right ankle has been hurt,' he said to reporters. 'It's not broken, but it's sore. He'll get started on the rehab part of it as we go. We'll just have to see how he does down the road here.'.

Mahomes will reportedly undergo further testing Monday, which will allow the Chiefs to determine how long he could be out for.
