Kevin Webster’s (Michael Le Vell) worst fears are confirmed in Coronation Street this week as he’s told he has cancer. Earlier this month, the Weatherfield mechanic shocked wife Abi Webster (Sally Carman) with news he was undergoing tests after finding a lump.

It proved difficult for her to take on board, as she was starting to unravel after trying to save stab victim Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) life, triggered by the memory of son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), who was murdered in similarly violent circumstances in 2021.

She confides in Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) how Mason’s death has reignited her grief over Seb and now she’s worried about Kevin’s health too. When Abi later looks at her reflection in the window and sees another vision of Seb staring back at her.
Making out she’s tired, Abi heads to bed leaving Kevin concerned. On Wednesday, Abi is on her way to collect Kevin from his ultrasound with Alfie in the car when she has another panic attack at the recent as she sees the place where Mason died. Climbing out of the car, she is overwhelmed with terror and guilt when she imagines herself cradling Seb’s body and runs away.
